Aurangabad: An Industrial Hub

Aurangabad is 5th largest industrial district in Maharashtra after Pune, Raigad, Nashik and Thane. Currently has 5 industrial areas viz Waluj, Chittegaon, Paithan, Chikalthana and Shendre), 2 Growth Centers, and 1 Auto Cluster. A Dry port with logistic hub is recently proposed in Shendra.

It is an industrial base for sectors such as automotive, auto components, white goods, appliances, breweries and pharmaceuticals, electronics, etc. More than 3500 small and large companies providing employment to more than 1 lakh people in the district. Bordered by Nashik, Jalna and Ahmednagar districts, Aurangabad has substantial industrial presence. Government declared Dry Port, DMIC and Smart City in the area which gave substantial boost for the socio-economic growth of the region.

Inspira Industrial Park (250 Acre) is situated within the five star MIDC area at Shendre. . It is home to world class facilities of Skoda (Volkswagen/Audi), Siemens, Wockhardt (Pharma), Glenmark (Biotech) and Hindalco-Almex Aerospace Limited, NHK Bearing, Liebherr, Perkins, Bona among others.
